Raise Your Search Engine Rankings

When you have a web site that needs more free traffic, then you have to consider raising your search engine rankings. If your website has low placement in the rankings then it will be hard for visitors to find it.

Marketing research tells us that most searchers click on the first few results, and this is a cruel fact for websites and e-businesses that don’t rank high enough. High rankings is a risky business, and no one should guarantee such results, albeit for a temporary basis only. Still, the budget and efforts to achieve high rankings definitely pay off many times over. Here are some tips for raising your search engine rankings.

1. Rich Content

Content is one of the most important factors when we consider the high search engine rankings. Everybody loves it. Search engines love it, visitors love it. Fresh and abundant content throughout your site with targeted keywords placed accordingly. Keywords and internal links are crucial.

2. Keywords in the website URL

Keywords in your website’s URL help much in ranking higher but don’t overdo it. Find industry related keywords and if you’re lucky a domain name that is not occupied yet. Two to three keywords should do the job.

3. Keywords in Text

Keywords should appear written out in text, instead of graphics. If you want to embellish your site, use CSS instead of graphics. If you are determined about using images, then enrich them with alt tags. Sometimes images appear in search results too.

4. Page Title

Lately, the focus is on the page title. Thus, keywords should be naturally placed there and with different titles for every page.
