PageRank Checker

I have installed a PageRank (PR) checker to experiment with Google Pagerank (PR), the toolbar Pagerank (publicly viewed). It is expressed on the scale 1-10 with 10 being the best value. If you’re interested on how your site is doing with Google’s PR go to prchecker.info. You can always crosscheck it with another pagerank tool from top25web.com.

Important notification for beginners: PR value does not mean that your site’s doing necessarily well or bad, or that you need to redesign your SEO strategy. PR is only one variable in Google’s algorithm to ranking a site. Market sources say that Google’s algorithm computes more than 200 factors! Impressive thought assuming that these are true facts.

On the other hand, Google never revealed their computational PR algorithm, so there is a considerable deviation between real PR and visual PR.

Latest Addition to this Post: A very handy tool is PageRankAlert.com It lets you monitor up to 100 sites sending an email notification when their PR changes. Still, the interesting thing is the PR fluctuations presented in the adjacent graph for each site. Just visit any page i.e. page with PR9 and click on the graph of any known site to you..
