Social networking will make its way to the SERPs (Search Engine Result Pages) with a new service called Social Search. Google Labs are experimenting with introducing search results from our social circle.
The source of social content will be every social service people and their friends have listed in their Google profiles, updates, tweets, reviews and Google Reader subscriptions. The social circle is defined by our contacts in Gmail or Google Talk, Twitter, FriendFeed.
Google understands very well the importance of social networking and Social Search will be closely related to the personalization of search results already implemented.
This new service will be fundamental to the rise of social media management, social networking and social bookmarking services.
